Very Pretty, but your container vessels are too nimble. They would need a long approach roughly parallel to the coast to get into the port under their own steam, which would make them very vulnerable to strong west winds – a feature of our summers here, and/or tugs, which would make the harbour much more expensive to run, and the strong winds would also stop the cranes from working, a seriuos problem when you’re trying to achieve a 24 hour turn round. There is a wreck marked on the chart opposite the end of Timbaki runway – this could be prophetic!
